What data we collect
Account info
Your name and email address, provided when you sign in.
Packing checklists
The lists you create — names, items, destinations, trip dates, and preferences. This includes location data you enter manually and trip dates.
Weather data
When you provide a location and trip date, we fetch weather forecasts from public weather APIs to enhance packing suggestions. This data is not stored permanently.
Google Calendar (optional)
If you connect your calendar, we read event titles, dates, and locations to suggest checklists. We never modify or store your calendar data beyond the session.
How we use your data
Personalisation
To generate packing lists tailored to your trips, destinations, and weather conditions. We use your location and trip dates to fetch weather forecasts and suggest appropriate items.
Reminders
If you enable reminders, we use your trip dates to send notifications at times you choose.
Sync & backup
Your checklists are saved to your account so you can access them across devices.
App improvement
Aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us improve features. We do not sell your personal data.
Advertising
Ads may be shown
PackedYet is a free app supported by advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks and may use cookies or device identifiers to show relevant ads.
No ad personalisation using your checklists
Your packing list content is never shared with ad networks.
Google Calendar access
Read-only
We only request read-only access to your calendar events.
Limited use
Calendar data is used solely to detect upcoming trips and suggest checklists. It is not stored, shared, or used for advertising.
Revoke anytime
You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from the Home page.
Your rights & data privacy
Your checklists are private
Personal packing lists are private to your account only. You control what trip information you enter (location, dates, preferences). Public templates are shared in the app, but your personal checklists and trip data are never shared without your explicit choice.
Delete your data
You can delete individual checklists at any time. To delete your account and all data, contact us.
Data portability
Your checklists belong to you. We do not lock you in.
